All of our fall black bear hunts in Maine are five days, whether you are hunting in a stand or with our hounds.
Arrival is Sunday afternoon, and departure is the following Saturday before 9:00 am. We look forward to your smile when you arrive and depart.
Your first meal is served Sunday evening and the last meal is Friday dinner. We keep you fed.
Maine laws require proof of a hunter safety course or a previous hunting license from any state to purchase a hunting license. Safety first.
Fluorescent orange is required during the whitetail and moose seasons. Please bring appropriate gear.
Our bait areas are set up with ground blinds; the average shot is 35-50 yards. It’s a hunt of a lifetime.
Archery stands are 12 feet high and 12-16 yards from the baits. Do you hear your heart beating?
Once a kill has been made and pictures taken, our qualified guides will skin and freeze your hide for shipment and assist you in boning and preparing your meat for the trip home. It’s what we do.
We recommend you contact a taxidermist before your trip, or we can make arrangements with a taxidermist for you. Don’t worry, we know great taxidermists.
There is no additional charge for trophy care. Let’s see that smile.
A deposit of half of the hunt cost is required to confirm your hunt. The remaining payment by cash or certified check is due on arrival. Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to another person if you are unable to participate in your hunt. It happens.
During the sportsman shows, we will hold spots for $100 down, with the remainder of the deposit due within 10 working days. See you at the shows!
